Today at 12:55 pm, we got *the* call informing us that our baby girl in Korea is ready for travel!
Our heads are still spinning, but we’re looking at our calendars and to-do lists to figure out when we’ll be able go. We’ll post the details on our itinerary as they become available.
The process has been very fast. Our paperwork went to Korea on May 26. We expected it to take about four months to get a referral, but it took just over two months. We received the referral on August 5 and returned the acceptance paperwork on August 14, at which time we were told to expect 3-4 months for the rest of the process to be completed. But it’s been less than two months since we accepted the referral!
As we prepare to return to Korea a second time, we can’t help but think of the first trip 20 months ago. When we got the call that Ethan was ready for travel, we posted, It’s Time! We posted our last itinerary, blogged about the emotional roller coaster, and looked ahead to blogging in Korea, and most of all, receiving Ethan, which we painfully referred to as the takeaway.
We’ll post more updates in the coming days and we hope/plan to blog in Korea this time, too. We invite you to follow us on this journey!
