It’s hard to believe, but there’s only one full day left of our time in Seoul (Wednesday). It has been a great experience, overall. In fact, I told Joleen Monday morning (right before we went to visit Ethan) that if we went home now, this would have been a great trip/vacation. But, of course, that’s not the real reason we came. We came to get Ethan!
We’ve enjoyed our time Seoul, and we will miss it. There’s a lot more we could do here.
That said, now that we have Ethan, the purpose of our trip has been fulfilled, and we’re looking forward to being home and having the next 9 weeks to devote to him and the transition in our home.
Tomorrow, we’ll sorta hang out with Ethan. We’ll try to get out. We’d still like to go to O’Sulloc Tea to try some of their green tea items. But our plans will depend largely on Ethan and how he’s handling the transition on our first full day together. The cold weather may also impact what we do, especially since we have to walk wherever we go (we’ve been getting tons of exercise this week!).
Well, it’s going on 12:30 am here in Korea. I’d better get some sleep. We’re told Ethan *normally* wakes up between 2:00 and 3:00 am. Of course, I’m not sure what “normal” is going to be for a while! 🙂
Enjoy your final day in Korea with your new family. It was a blessing to get Ethan early, now you know he has a set of good lungs!! Hopefully the return trip will go smoothly, however, if it doesn’t, just hang in there and know that many others have traveled before you with screaming children in tow! It is hard for any child to have a change of routine, I’m sure Ethan will adjust quickly and it won’t be long before you and Joleen are known to Ethan as Mom and Dad!
Hopefully today will be a calmer day for the Willis Family. I guess you found out Ethan has a good set of lungs! You are all missing the snow here, Huntingdon probably got about 6 inches today and tonight they are calling for sleet and freezing rain on top of it. Good Luck at the airport with Ethan and during your trip home, if Ethan decides to make his presence known, keep in mind many have gone before you with screaming kids in tow! Good Luck and God Bless! The King Gang
Ten years from now you will be laughing together when you discuss this with your son. Hope you have a great flight . Can’t wait to meet your son! God bless
oh how wonderful to see you holding Ethan! I do beleive it was a blessing that you had that extra day to bond before your flight home. We can’t wait to meet this darling little one and welcome him into his extended chruch family. Safe travels.
Thanks!
A quick note on our final day in Seoul: We did get out a couple times, even though it was very cold and we had to walk. It was good for Ethan to get out — he’s very curious and likes to see what’s going on around him.
We did get to go to O’Sulloc Tea. We split a peace of Green Tea Tiramisu and I had an Ice Green Orange drink. It was supposed to be one of the best places in Seoul for green tea items — it was very good.
The day was sorta stressful with some fussiness, including a very rough morning, and mostly, wondering how the next day’s travel was going to go down.
All in all, though, it was probably a good day of preparation for the trip.
